It is important to the members of Hope to be committed to being a "discipleship community"--reaching out faithfully to other people for the sharing of the Good News of the risen Jesus Christ. Our Outreach Ministries have allowed us to grow in our faith by serving others.
I talked with the new director at the Gilmer County Senior center recently. The Senior Center has been closed and they have been delivering canned goods, dry goods and frozen items every other Thursday to shut-ins. There are currently 39 shut-ins and 25 drive by pick-ups. When the center opens again they will resume with hot food deliveries Monday through Thursday every week. I bagged up 122 bags of snacks a few weeks ago. The plan is to deliver 40 bags the first week of June, 40 bags mid July and the rest at the end of August Thanks for all your help in support of this important outreach to our community.
