La Buena Fe Café
This Coming Saturday Dr. Lucas Beno is planning to return to Honduras this fall to take medicines and to minister to communities where he, Jim and Katy Beno have been visiting for so many years. Next Saturday, August 16 th, we invite all y’all to attend our La Buena Fe Café fundraising meal – from 11 AM to 3 PM. The menu is "South of the Border." The proceeds will help Dr. Luke purchase medicine and supplies to take with him when he takes his medical mission trip in the Fall. There will be a bake sale in Founders Hall, too, as part of the fun! Come hungry! Bring friends!
Annual Reports Due
Individual annual reports are due by this Wednesday, August 13th. If you are responsible for one of Hope’s ministry areas, please email your report to the church office by that date so we can distribute the complete Annual Report of the Congregation by September 1st. If you would like to see a copy of last year's report for your area as a guide for this year's report, let Casey know in the church office. This year's Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, September 21st. There will be one worship service that day and the meeting will follow.
Returning Thanks Sunday
August is our Stewardship month here at Hope Church in preparation for the new church year which begins on September 1st. We’ll have Temple Talks on the next two Sundays, and on August 31st we’ll celebrate Consecration Sunday at a 10 AM service with a special message and our traditional Returning Thanks Offering as the benedictory close to each of our services. Remember, this is a 5th Sunday so anchored (our string ensemble and vocal group) will help lead our worship at one service only that day at 10 AM. There will be no Sunday school.
