Mid-Week Lenten Services

Each Wednesday through the Lenten season we will offer a Service of the Word at noon, soup and sandwich supper at 5:30, and a Service of Light at 7 PM. The theme for this year’s Lenten Mid-Week preaching series is titled: Questions of Lent.

Friday Fish Fry at Good Samaritan Catholic Church The Knights of Columbus Friday Fish Fry continues through Lent at Good Samaritan Catholic Church just off the square in downtown Ellijay. These suppers will continue through March 27th – the Friday before Palm Sunday. All are welcome!

Ye Olde Funsters

Next Outing The next outing will be Friday, March 6 - meeting at the church parking lot at 11 AM to carpool to Dahlonega. We’ll eat at a restaurant called Pharaoh's Feast located at 340 Walmart Way. The food is Mediterranean and sounds delicious with fantastic reviews and moderately priced. Following that we will go to Consolidated Gold Mine ($25) (185 Consolidated Gold Mine Rd., Dahlonega, Ga.) where you go 200 feet in the earth into an actual gold mine for a 40 minute tour. They recommend clothes that could become dirty and walking shoes with closed toes. Of course depending on the weather, wear a jacket or coat because it is cool underground. For more information, call Jack O’Donovan.

Daylight Saving Begins Next Week

Daylight Saving time returns next weekend. Be sure to move your clocks forward an hour when you go to bed Saturday night. You don't want to arrive an hour late to church next Sunday!

Mid-Week Suppers

Just a reminder for all those wonderful volunteers who are helping with our mid-week suppers during Lent. The schedule for all the Wednesdays is posted just off the narthex on the bulletin board. Thanks to all for all you do!
