Mountain View Elementary Clothes Closet

One of our projects is to help keep the Mountain View Elementary School closet full of needed items. Our clothing needs are sizes 5 thru small adult. We are looking for jeans, sweat pants and shirts, and jackets as the winter months get closer. You can contact Carol Townsend. Financial donations can be made payable to the church, with "School Closet" on the memo line of your check.

Events

Children's Christmas Gifts
On each of the last several years we've been collecting toys to be distributed in the community by the local American Legion at Christmas time. From now until November 28th there will be a box in the narthex to receive toys for Hope to give to the Legion. We're looking for toys with a minimum price of $10 for boys and girls aged birth to 14 years of age. Please know how much the folks at the Legion appreciate your generosity for the sake of the children in our community!
Thanksgiving Dinner Lunch-in
On Sunday, November 21st, we will again enjoy our Thanksgiving Lunch-in downstairs in Founders Hall following the 10:45 am service. The church will provide the meal -turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy, green beans, stuffing, rolls, cranberry sauce, a salad or two and beverages. You're asked to bring a dessert to share that is either cooked or baked. A freewill offering will be taken up for our annual scholarship fund.
Decorate for Advent
Advent this year begins on Sunday, November 28th. To get ready, we will be decorating the sanctuary the day before - Saturday, November 27th. Please set aside this day to help with this wonderful work. We will meet in the sanctuary at 10 am.
Brasstown Ringers
On Saturday, December 4th , Hope Church will again host a very special concert presented by the renowned Brasstown Ringers. Brasstown Ringers is an advanced handbell group based in Brasstown, North Carolina. You don’t want to miss this! Save the date – and bring your friends!
