​Easter Lilies for the Altar

Next Sunday is the final day to sign up to sponsor an Easter lily for the altar either in honor of, or in memory of, loved ones. Sign-up sheets are on the bulletin board in the narthex. The cost for each plant is $20.00. You can write a check to Hope Lutheran Church with "lily" on the memo line.

 

Lenten and Holy Week Services

Our final midweek Lenten services will be held this Wednesday at noon and 7:00 PM, with supper starting at 5:30. Holy Week begins next Sunday, Palm and Passion Sunday, with our traditional procession of palms (weather permitting). Holy Week services include a Service of the Word for Healing on Wednesday, a Maundy Thursday Service of Holy Communion and Stripping of the Altar, and a Tenebrae Service on Good Friday with the extinguishing of candles. All evening services will be at 7:00 PM. There will not be supper or a noon service on April 1st.

 

Easter Sunday Celebrations

Our schedule for Easter Sunday includes festival services of Holy Communion at 8:15 and 10:45 AM. There will be an Easter brunch reception after the 10:45 service in Founders Hall. Members are requested to bring a dish to share (casseroles, sandwiches, salads, desserts, etc.) for the feast! The church will provide ham, green beans, rolls and beverages. We will hold our annual Easter Egg Hunt for the children at 9:45 AM outside, weather permitting. There will be no Sunday school.
